 Andrew is a true professional and a passionate guide, who will impress you with the experience and knowledge he has gained over 15 years of fishing in the region. 

Andrew will take you in either of his custom designed vessels, a Southwind 5.8m Long Boat with a brand new Evinrude E-Tec 75hp motor, or his Cairns Custom Craft 4.6m barra punt with a 40hp Yamaha. He uses state of the art fish finding and navigational equipment and quality tackle to help with the task in hand. Andrew starts the day by collecting you from your hotel and within 20 minutes you are on the water! No fuss fishing is the motto for the day.

FISHING TIPS

Andrew has great success with live bait barramundi fishing – prawns and mullet, prawns being his preferred bait for this time of year. The estuaries Andrew fishes are rich in these species, so as a result the barramundi thrive in these areas. Andrew uses a dropper rig for prawns, with the hook going through the tail. This allows the prawn to sit above the creek bed. For mullet - a running rig. When the mullet are quite big he uses a bridle on a circle hook.
